Leaf- Peeping Season in The Pocono Mountains

As October Gently rolls in and the Vibrant Colors of Fall begin to take shape we are once again reminded of the circle of life. This particular circle of life pertains to Mother Nature herself. There really is no better part of the country to witness this Majestic Masterpiece than the Northeast and in particular The Great Pocono Mountains of Northeast PA. You simply can't talk about the month of October without bringing up "Haunted Happenings" as Halloween is the holiday of the month. Howl-o-ween at Great Wolf Lodge
Great Wolf Lodge presents the Wiley and the Wizard Trick or Treat Trail including a journey along the "Yellow Brick Road" to Oz. Halloween Fun at the Stourbridge Line Rail Excursion
The Stourbridge Line Rail Excursion invites families to celebrate Halloween with a 2 ½ hour trip on Oct. 26, 2008 including sing-alongs, costumes and treats as well as a stop at the Hawley Station Pumpkin Patch where cider, pumpkins and donuts are available for purchase. PEEC-A-BOO! Halloween Trail
The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites families to enjoy a journey along its enchanted trail with crafts, campfire stories and other activities. The tour will take place on Oct. 25, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Tickets are five dollars; guests three years and under are free. For more information call 570-828-2319. 

Halloween: A Night With Poe
The American Readers Theatre Company offers families the opportunity to enjoy a Halloween dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe. The reading will take place on Oct. 31, 2008 at the Grey Towers National Historic Site. For more information call 570-296-9630 or visit greytowers.org.
