Independence Day in the Pocono Mountains proved to be a hot one for most! The differences in the temperatures in the different areas of the Pocono Mountain region always amazes me. At our office in Blakeslee it was 92 Degrees. I have to think it may have hit upper 90's in Stroudsburg but it's funny no matter how hot it gets, when you take that windy road down home to Arrowhead Lakes it is always anywhere from 6-15 degrees cooler depending on what season it is.
Our home in Arrowhead Lakes Community proved to be extra special for my visiting family yesterday as the temperatures had reached 101 Degrees back in Lower Bucks County before they had left for the drive up to the Poconos. When they got to our Arrowhead Home we had the firepit blazing, the picnic table all set up with goodies, the beer ice cold in The Wheelie Cooler and the music playing from one of the radio stations that had some sort of countdown going on. Best of all we were all nestled in under about thirty trees in my back yard and the temp was about 81 degrees with a nice cool breeze and no humidity.
Needless to say it was comfortable and lots of fun and a really good commercial for "Living in the Poconos". I am always amazed at how the temperatures differentiate during different seasons and between different locales here in the Pocono Mountain Region. We could get a foot of snow up here in Pocono Lake, PA and down in Stroudsburg whcih is only a 20 minute drive away they can get "NOTHING" at all.
